Policies

PH Domain Names will be given on a first-paid, first-served basis.
SEC registrations will not be required of companies wishing to apply for .com.ph domains. If a company registers a domain name (x.com.ph) that is different from its SEC-registered name (y), and if use of this domain name is successfully contested in the courts by a company with the correct SEC-registered name (x), then (y) must agree to cease and desist using the SEC-registered name (x).
Owners of domain names that are subsequently registered with the SEC or DTI by another party shall retain the rights to their domains. That is, registration of a name as trademark or brand name with the SEC or DTI shall not confer upon the trademark or brand name owner the right to a domain that had been previously registered.
PHRegistrar.PH (LCD Web Services) has neither the resources nor the legal obligation to screen requested domain names to determine if the use of a domain name by an applicant may infringe upon the right(s) of a third party. Consequently, an applicant, by virtue of filing an application, warrants the following:
- The applicant attests to the truth of the statements in the application and to the right to use the domain name as requested in the application;
- The use or registration of the domain name by applicant does not interfere with or infringe the right of any third party with respect to trademark, service mark, trade name, company name, or any other intellectual property right;
- Applicant is not seeking to use the domain name for any unlawful purpose, including, but not limited to, unfair competition, or for the purpose of confusing or misleading a person.
